Brain Studios LLC emerged in early 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Close friends and collaborators, Kin Marie and Brenden Smith, would sit in the dim basement of Kin's artist residency in Englewood and dream of a Chicago that put the creator first, before the resume or the status. 

This was the dream that Brain was weaved from.

Our mission is to establish a dynamic creative hub for the south-side of Chicago and its neighboring areas, offering independent artists streamlined access to bring their creative projects to life. Additionally, we aim to set an example by serving as an independent production powerhouse, specializing in sound, pre-production, and post-editorial/color services.
